Is it bad for your eyes to wear colored contact lenses?

I recently bought two pairs of colored (non-prescription) colored eye contacts online. When I first went to the optometrist to ask about them, I was told that first, I needed to find the size of my eye so that they could get the correct eye contact size (but this was expensive), so I opted for the cheap contacts that I bought online.

I was wondering if it is bad for your eyes to wear them?

    yes they might be

Some Disadvantages of Color Contact Lenses, though they are not serious:

Although there are different sized lenses to fit most wearers, there will be some occasions (such as during blinking) where the colored portion may slide somewhat over the pupil.

Also, the size of your pupil is constantly changing to accommodate varying light conditions — so sometimes, like at night, your pupil may be larger than the clear center of the lens. In these instances, your vision may be slightly affected.

Colored contact lenses are not bad for your eyes, i wear them all the time. What is bad is to buy them without getting a fitting. You see, every brand has a different measurement made for different size eyeballs. What you did is a no-no and could seriously damage your eyes. i do not recommend you wear them. If they do not “sit” well on the eye they could cause tears and scratches on your eye. You may not feel the discomfort right away, but when you do u will have it for the rest of your life, may even cause blindness.
